Equivalent Too is a podcast for minorities in STEM. Its a place to discuss issues faced by those who are under represented in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, whether that be for reasons of gender, race, socio-economic background, neurodiversity, physical ability. All are welcome to normalise the barriers encountered by being differences, so that we can indeed make a positive difference through our differences.

In this week's episode of Scilence, my guest describes how an uncontrollable tick led her to study Psychological and Brain Sciences. Adversity has always pointed her in new directions and as a result, its taught her what she has needed to know. In listening to her, I realise the benefit of letting go of resentments. Accepting what has happened in the past helps you to move on in life without being held back. Despite everything my guest has gone through since childhood, there has always opportunities to grow. It's all about the attitude you choose to have.
